Back in August I got the brilliant idea that it would be nice to escape the usually drizzly, cold, rainy January Charleston weather and spend a week at the beach in Daytona Shores, Florida.
So we invested in a week at a nice beachfront. Hotel in Daytona next week.
Sounds good, right??
Here’s a little dose of reality. 
On Saturday morning, we will begin to schlep our two mobility limited, medically challenged, mature lol bodies to our car and drive about 6-8 hours to Daytona and our one week paradise LOL. 
Weather forecast for Charleston next week —— mostly cloudy. Temp range 40-60.  Daytona Beach.  49 —75 also mostly cloudy.  We’ll eat all meals out. So we’ll try a bunch of Daytona eateries.  Hmmm.  Not exactly a balmy beach experience.  Needed to go all the way to Miami for that I guess. 
We will get to pester Marjorie’s brother, Harry, for a few days. He lives nearby.

Good investment?? Or a sequel to National Lampoon’s  “Vacation”.
